This is a montage of choreographies from psychiatric documentaries exploring the affective atmospheres created by guilt and hope, forging an analogy between those atmospheres and schizophrenia - a mental illness whose disruptive
symptoms suspend appropriate affect. This approach serves to juxtapose the decelerative reflection involved in the acts of writing and performing to the compulsive acceleration created by the immediacy of events. Throughout the 7-minute-long performance, ideas of control and agency are explored and refurbished to mediate a discussion about the present as a constant negotiation between bodily capacity, desire and sensory overload.
